I am attempting to write a story with characters from New Zealand.
What I need is insight into local phrases and expressions.
For example: is Kiwi viewed as offensive? To a resident, not the bird, or the fruit.
Please contact me if you would be able to help.

Thanks, Camospam

The New Zealanders I gamed with in WoW called themselves Kiwi's... so if it is offensive, they've taken hold of it and owned it.

Fate guard you, and may the Light brighten your Way.

A video on New Zealand slang. Seems popular and accurate.

English as a language can sure be brutalized, not like us canucks eh! We speak it right proper.

I talked to a Kiwi, they're not offended by being called Kiwi :)

Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry :P
