Star Wars

Star Wars. The Force. How do we sum up a universe now forty years an entity of science fiction and pop culture?

LUKE: “You don’t believe in the Force, do you?”
HAN: “Kid, I’ve flown from one side of the galaxy to the other, I’ve seen a lot of strange stuff, but I’ve never seen anything to make me believe there’s one all-powerful force controlling everything. There’s no mystical energy field that controls my destiny!”

YODA: “[M]y ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force flow around you. Here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, yes, even between the land and the ship.”

Star Wars is a space opera. It's the classical heroes journey. It's full of action, adventure and clear divisions in the battle between good and evil. And despite all the movies, the novels, the games... like Shakespeare, Star Wars has a fundamental simplicity that makes it an easy springboard for more stories. None of them necessarily new or unique at their core, but with an ever expanding setting and cast of characters; it is easy to bring our own perspective and experiences to play. And to write...
