Being born with mutation is rare, but not unheard of. Sapphire was born a snake-girl, and mutated to a more human form.

Sapphire and her sisters inherited their mother's GSE, so i figured that had more to do with how they were born or rather hatched.

4:53 p.m.

Teleportation sickness, the number one reason it isn't used for mass transport. And into a big city with all those noises and her senses, yikes. Felicia is in bad shape and can't tell who is calling out for her. Rika has to force Felicia into looking at and focusing on her. Sensory overload and it took Rika weeks to adjust to, that sounds like a living nightmare.

Mom is there as well, and Felicia is starting to adjust. Oh thank god, her mom doesn't live in this city. A check-up at the hospital, oh boy, this will be informative. Ouch! Her focus was so messed up right now she ran right into a telephone pole. Oh god, the hospital smells with her enhanced senses, sense the buzz of everything electrical in the area. And so distracted by everything she didn't even hear what her mom was saying as she led her somewhere.

“We’re taking you to a special wing for newly manifested mutants with GSD, problematic powers, and other associated issues. You’ll be staying there tonight so they can keep you under observation and run some tests. Tomorrow we can take you to a private MSA facility to get tested and get you an MMID, and then you can come home with me.”

Great idea to have a special wing like that, I don't even want to imagine the number of powers that could be issues shortly after manifesting. Crap, her time in the wilderness, and the attacks on her life has messed up Felicia's ability to discern when someone is a threat or not. It is okay to be afraid of being hurt, but just thinking that if there are enough people around someone will try and harm you is something she needs counseling to deal with.

Mom has to leave Felicia, stupid paperwork, why can't things be done remotely? Good lord, Rika's life is out of a supernatural soap opera, that is beyond harsh. Good thing Felicia became friends with Rika for both their sakes. With a great consultant position job and teaching Talisman magic, Rika's life has started to turn around. Vern is a moron to try and pin it on Vincent for what happened to his scumbag father, all evidence shows otherwise.

A new identity, good, if the MCO still tracks her down after this that means they are breaking some laws to access government databases they shouldn't. Codename for her MID, this should be fun to see how Felicia comes up with hers. Is Felicia a bit hyper? Bwahaha, thank you, Rika, for shutting down that codename, you are so right about what people would call her. So this is how she came up with ElectroCute, I like her, she's silly.

Rager incident down the hall, yikes. Dr. Carroll, I hope she and everyone else on this ward get hazard pay. This isn't social anxiety, Felicia has something much worse to fear interacting with someone like this. Fallen, I forgot about Rika's cool codename. Ah, good, they have had MSA referrals before, which makes this so much easier. Dr. Carroll is the kind of doctor I wish all doctors were, taking their patient's feelings into account.

Ugh, another reason not to miss the abusive scumbag that was Felicia's father. *facepalms* I can't believe she brought up those incidents. Yes, Felicia, you are a changeling. Ouch, if Rika wasn't a regenerator she would be in bad shape from the shocks Felicia gave her without knowing. Fleur, cool, a mutant who is a nursing student and doing her residency there.

Fleur is an Exemplar beauty.

“Helllooooo nurse!” Oops, did I say that out loud? I was totally blushing under my fur as I looked down at my lap again.

It can't be helped sometimes, Felicia. Fleur Dupris, and a noticeable French accent as well, oh boy. Awkward to be examined by a lady you find that attractive. Huh, Felicia can feel the difference in PK shells, interesting.

A stay overnight, even with Rika, uh oh. Anyone foolish enough to try and harm Felicia with Rika around, their fate with be horrible one way or another. EMF meter and Felicia is thinking of how to use this to impress Fleur, oh boy. It is like the Wile E. Coyote scene with the super magnet and everything metal flying towards except there is no plane nearby for Fleur to draw in.

Seeing triple, ouch, Felicia did a number to herself with this stunt. X-rays and Felicia can't resist making a joke about a Cat scan. The x-ray technician wearing a cologne is that strong, I bet even with a baseline sense of smell it is bad. Never eaten out once, the poor kid has been deprived. Boy, Felicia sure does love analyzing things. Food from anyone that Rika has ever been, dang, that might equal the Crystal Hall for food.

No paper sheet or pillow, just your hospital gown between you and the cold bed for x-rays, that ain't right. No X-ray for her head due to sneezing fit triggering her electricity, that guy needs to be told not to wear cologne on the job.

Six double cheeseburgers, a large side of fries, and chocolate milkshakes she had to drink by pouring it into her mouth, ouch! Carnivore diet so limited veggies and other things besides meat now, aww. Rika has to feed on essence to live, dang, that is some curse.

They didn't give her a soundproof room and she has to deal with the hospital scents as well, get her out of there before she goes nuts! Dr. Carroll and Fleur showed, excitement when Felicia got her x-rays.

I’ve told Matt a dozen times that he should go easy on the cologne, maybe this time he’ll learn. It’s hard enough on a baseline person, I don’t want to think about how strong it must be to people with heightened senses like yours,”

Matt needs to listen before they get a rager in who is set off by strong scents.

Oh no, not catnip!

“Given Felicia’s feline-based GSD, we need to make sure that she isn’t going to have any sort of negative reaction to it. I have heard that some do, and some don’t, but I would like to test it under controlled conditions, so we know if it’s something that she needs to be wary of in the future,” the doctor replied.

A good reason, but I think Felicia is going to be as high as a kite in moments. She ate some of the catnip, oh no. Now she has gone all Pepe Le Pew on Fleur, oh brother. It is like a Pepe Le Pew cartoon brought to life, once she comes down from this Felicia is going to be so embarrassed. Rika had to grab Felicia and use a spell to knock her out, that could have been a lot worse.

Two hours later…

Wakes up disoriented and slashes Rika in the chest, Rika's regeneration heals them right before Felicia's eyes, that is fast. Oof, her electricity was arcing all over the place during that episode. Oh, good, Fleur isn't pressing charges. Ergan's Tears, 7 months of updates on an MMORPG to get caught up on, Felicia will be busy for a long while. Ah, good, Rika sensed something wrong with GEO and never went past the tutorial.

Ah, so that is why Rika is only a reverse member of T.R.U. North, needs at least 2 years of military service to be a full member. Ooo, nice loophole, just two years until full membership. Gah! The description of what Felicia is going through, all those sounds and smells, is torture.

Nightmares of things that happened in the past, that she fears might happen, and mixes of the two, those are the worst. Waking up, screaming, shaking, and sobbing, I've only done that once myself in my life and I hope Felicia gets the help she needs so she doesn't have to go through this again. Stuff to knock out a normal person for 8 hours only put her out for 4, ouch. Ultrasound, and yes, Felicia, they do that pushing down hard for a scan with everyone.

A womb forming, an electric organ where her appendix would be, intriguing changes. Before you get to Whateley you need to get that brain-to-mouth issue handled, Felicia. First period in the next month or two, duck and cover! Eep, poor Rika put right in there for the suggestion of period talk. A decade stuck like that alone until she met Vincent online, I'm so glad Rika's life is turning around. Aww, Rika will have the talk with Felicia if her mom can't do it for some reason, and that answers the question of whether Rika has periods, yikes.

MSA Powers Testing and Research Facility
Northwest of North Vancouver

9:57 a.m.

Mom shows up in costume and has clothes for Felicia, some too tight and others loose, she needs proper measurements before they go shopping. Stared at a lot, either bigots or you have some admirers. MSA complex out there in the wilderness, yet so much like the hospital for smells inside, rats. Dorian shows up and already guesses why they are there.

“Classified orders straight from the Regional Director, this is for your eyes only. ElectroCute, this is Dr. Dorian Gray, the Chief Administrator for this complex. Dorian, this is ElectroCute, she needs testing for an MMID immediately.”

Dorian Gray, does he have a painting of himself somewhere that ages for him?

Why the comment about Felicia's eyes? Classified, and mom says she isn't at liberty to say. Left With Dr. Zhang and Dorian Gray, I have a bad feeling about this. Dr. Jon Zhang, oh no, please don't freak out on them, Felicia. Looking at her as a thing, not a person, and doesn't give a handshake when offered one, what is this guy's problem?

Dr. Qian Zhang, aka Jade Tiger and an agent of the Iron Dragon sent to spy and send information to China and the Iron Dragon, I knew I didn't like him. His plans for mutants of Chinese descent, okay, he needs to die. What he has been doing already, he is a monster. He slipped Dr. Olson a devised drug all to get ahold of a key to the MSA's secure server. And he thinks Felicia is fat, now he needs to suffer.

Hehe, get the data once the testing is done. With Felicia there I'm not sure access to the database will be intact once testing is done. Zhang is overthinking why Felicia's file would be classified. Hey, not using a subject's chosen codename during testing is a huge no-no. Dang, she did that to him and was pulling back as much electricity from the fur in her arm. 15 minutes before he recovers, maybe wait for a warning from the mutant next time.

Burned right hand, he got off easy. And she isn't vacant, she is trying to focus despite all the noises, scents, and other sensory input messing with her. He was going to pocket her blood from the scalpel to study her DNA, this spy needed to be shut down. Bwahaha, thinks she has caught onto him, but she is just distracted by a mole on his cheek. And spits up a furball for a hair sample, he asked for it. Magnetized the scalpel to the table, priceless.

Trying to force her to try and make something out of scraps, Zhang has no patience at all. A lightbulb to light up and she took that long to use wire to make a ball to chase, all the while smacking Zhang in the face with a toaster she tossed. She is going to drive the man to pull all his hair out at this rate or yell it isn't worth spying to have to deal with her and blow his own cover.

Potent Energizer, generates electricity whenever in motion, and too distracted to focus on controlling it most of the time. She fried his tablet and probably his disguised data storage device as well, yay!

Daniel Edwards for magic testing, I like him, nice to the mutants who come in for testing. A Mage, dang, even more impressive to have earned those abilities through hard work and dedication. Oh boy, the way Felicia rambles on and how she describes Fallen. Aww, no magical ability.

Lift weight to put her strength solidly in the Exemplar 3 range, running speed the same. Forcing her to keep running as electricity builds up and he thinks 15' behind her is a safe spot, he lacks common sense it seems. The treadmill breaks and Felicia goes flying backward, hits Zhang's uninjured arm with an arc of electricity, and hits the wall only to fall out and leave an indent Looney Tunes style.

Boy, if this keeps up Zhang is going to be in a full-body cast by the time Felicia is done. Bwahaha, the tennis ball trick to test for psychic awareness and it backfires on Zhang, once again a scene right out of Looney Tunes. All those things, he should have known she would sense it coming. Dodgeball test and she kicks on right back at him, despite the observation window protecting him he still fell backward on reflex and hurt himself once more.

Changing it from EX 2 difficulty to EX 4, you are scum for taking out your frustrations on Felicia like this. Yikes! Her electricity when out of control enough can set her fur on fire, which is bad. You didn't have her wearing the protective bodysuit for testing! I hope this gets you fired for nearly killing someone.

Fast healing only when sleeping is probably rare so would have to be brought up to be known about. His office isn't ambiance, Zhang, karma has come calling for your spying and her name is Felicia today. With no pillow or blanket, and a bottle of water from a vending machine, Zhang is a poor host.

Seven minutes later…

Now Felicia needs to use the ladies' room. Outside to sleep in a nice warm sunbeam. I hope after all this Zhang is still caught and just explodes from frustration.

Zhang, she is not some government super weapon, she is just a teen with GSD. Trying to get Felicia to nap, she is a cat girl now and that is as hard as getting a cat to do anything unless they are in the mood to. Felicia goes up a tree after a yellow warbler, only for the branch to break and fall towards Zhang who avoids it mostly, except for his poor feet.

“That’th it. Birdth are off my list,” she lisped before spitting out a mouthful of leaves.

Hehe, nice Sylvester impersonation. The little yellow warbler was meant to be Tweety, wasn't it?

That squirrel calling her fat, better hope she doesn't go after you next! Nabiki, is it the same squirrel or has Felicia lost it again? Finds a spot on the forest floor and still asks to be told a story, when that doesn't work ask about Zhang's research.

Level 4 regeneration while sleeping, dang. 45-minute nap and fully healed, I wish I could do that. She may not be a luck mangler, but it seems the universe has it out for you today and is using her to mete it out. Card game bit without Zhang having even drawn a card, I love how Felicia is just messing with him constantly. No ESP and she messes with him on the mindreading test, Zhang needs to be messed with as much as possible.

“Just two more tests,” he told himself, “how much worse could it get?”

You just had to tempt the universe, didn't you?

An hour and a half later…

Welp, she broke him. He is going to be laid up for weeks recovering from those injuries and probably given leave to deal with the stress as well. Zhang thinks they are all onto him and sent Felicia to punish him. Felicia just thinks he is accident-prone.

This was a test, it had to be. He knew now that there was only one thing he could do, only one way to escape eternal torment. He fell to the floor in front of Dorian Gray and prostrated himself. “I’m a spy for the Iron Dragon! I’ll tell you anything you want to know! Please, just keep me away from her!”

I knew it, he didn't pull all his hair out, but my 2nd guess was right. She broke a professional spy, bwahaha.

Darn it! Zhang is being taken away in cuffs and Felicia has to be tested all over again because of it, that is punishment. Heh, always trust your instincts about people when they say someone is a jerk and make you nervous. Dr. Geller doing the testing now and Felicia has to see her after testing anyway.

Yeah, being around someone on the same level as you in social skills, anxiousness, and nervousness helps a lot. Bobcat-based GSD so she has a cute, stubby tail; adaptations based on the Canadian Lynx. Heh, I knew she was actually buff, just insulating fat. Darn, energizer abilities have to be in cooldown for her regeneration to take over, no wonder it only works when she is asleep right now. Exemplar 3, Energizer 4, Regen 4, she is a powerhouse.

They found a few stash houses with black market goods being smuggled into Canada, hidden compartments with power dampening collars and cuffs stored, and an underground maze of pens and holding facilities for people.

Okay, the Iron Dragon and his whole regime need to be taken down.

Heh, they can't even fingerprint Felicia to I.D. her now, that corrupt MCO office will never get their hands on her. So, Lithe is the daughter of a public figure whose work is classified, and she was born manifested, I wonder what the percentage of mutants who are born manifested is?

Mom is taking Felicia to visit a good friend who is a Gadgeteer to see if he can make something to help Felicia control her electricity better, maybe even store it. Ouch, Rika is off to find a meal after burning through a lot of essence the past few days. Rika is family, make it official!

Herb has a very unique look even for someone with GSD, a seven-foot-tall grizzly bear with devil horns and spaded tail I can see, but pink, that pushes it over the top. Super Bear, an appropriate name. Well, that is a shock to Felicia. Has a sister named Tabitha with cat-based GSD as well. What are the odds for siblings to have similar GSD?

A fun and funny story from start to finish. Felicia has to get used to the city, all its noises, smells, and more. Then the hospital and its issues. Fleur and the testing. The catnip reaction, I don't think Felicia will ever live that down if she is told the whole details. Now they have answers as to how far along in her changes Felicia is so she can prepare, though I hope her period isn't like a cat going into heat.

The powers testing, I knew I didn't like Zhang even before I read he was a spy and agent for Iron Dragon. I love that the universe used Felicia to drive him nuts and bang him up until he willingly confessed; so glad it resulted in abducted Chinese-Americans being freed and his operations being harmed.

All the Looney Tunes antics and references were perfect, I loved them. I bet if Imp meets Felicia she will have a new student she wishes to mentor in one way or another.

The last-moment twist, I was not expecting to find out Felicia has a sister she never knew about, let alone said sister to have cat-based GSD as well. Good job with the reveal.

I can't wait to read more of Felicia's adventures in the future, to see how Barracuda and Fallen are doing, and to find out more about Tabitha in the future.
