it probably has, but she also probably has a few local favors she can call in, that could get there faster

Asking for help would be embarrassing.
The Imp doesnt do embarrassed, thats something that happens to other people.

she just prefers the interference be appropriately ironic

you know looking back, Karma's name should have been a massive red flag for Suzie Q, in a few traditions, if your going to jame a child after someone, it should be someone who is departed.

For some reason "Speedbump" since he trusts the MCO so blindly, makes me think he's an imbued. Might also be time for Imp to call in reinforcements, either official, Whateley or connections. possibly all three.

Reinforcement IS part of escape and evasion. Officials butting in and butting heads leaves exploitable gaps, other Supers can muddy the waters, and connections will have alternate pathways.

Well she may call in reinforcements, but remember the trouble only just started, and it's a 5 hour drive to New York City. So by the time any real help would arrive, there's a good chance she'll be home or nearly so.
Calling in favours when just keeping her head down should work, is a bit of a waste.
