This week's wonderful story is Sprite 2: I Think I'm a Clone Now (Part 1).

Be sure to give it a read, it's sarcastic, funny, and weird, also angsty, so it's just like a real teenager. Comments are also appreciated.

Seriously give it a read. I even wrote a scene in there, so it's extra special.

that reveal at the end makes me think there's a good chance Blythe is dead. or will be soon.

Micro scenes and bad ideas are freely adoptable

No, she's still very much alive. Her DNA is as stable. She's lived almost 15 years and over a year since manifesting with no issues. Unless of course she pisses someone off enough to kill her.

Thanks for your comment, as always, Dreamer. Yup, it looks like Vanessa is well on her way to becoming a mutant Fairy, another crushing blow after her first couple of days at school and the trip to get there. She doesn't know it, but Blythe now knows exactly where she is. You're right that she really needs to stop blaming herself for what happened with Blythe and that Blythe probably wasn't very stable mentally even before that, but it may take a while for her to accept that and try accepting that people might care about her and that she's allowed to have that in her life. Maybe she'll start making some progress on that over the next few months. Things can't keep going as badly for her as they have been, can they?

Great comments Dreamer, even when it's not my story they're fun to read.

I didn't have much to do with this story, but the parts I did help with were really fun. Amethyst is a great writer to work with.
Here's a few comments for the parts I did work on.

Shannon, I wonder what his codename is. Wait that long and just decide to go and try to find Hawthorne Cottage yourself; this campus is big. Made it to Hawthorne only for Emiko to come running up, out of breath.

"I'm -gasp!- Emiko. Sorry for being late," she panted. "I had to hide when a clown attacked an elf. Took a while- gasp- for security to pull them apart. Just missed you at Schuster and ran all the way here."

Great, Humorless starts a fight again and causes trouble for everyone nearby. Trust me, what Emiko just said is just a regular day at Whateley.

We needed a reason for Emiko being late. So I thought what is the most ridiculous sounding reason for being late that would work for Whateley. Humorless and Red getting into a fight.

Dickinson Basement
Evening
Emiko doing yoga to relax and Emilie shows up, arrgh! *shudders at the gaze of Emilie over Emiko* Japanesse Zen Buddist, their nuns can date and marry. I hope this throws a bucket of ice water on Emilie's plans. Helsing is teaching Emiko some self-defense; good, the Goobers all need to learn that. Ugh, the Amazons want Helsing, and she likes sparring with them.
Ooo, Lovie is protective and jealous of Emilie's attention toward Emiko. Soap opera, you go to Whateley Academy, Emiko, a lot of students have their lives become like those in one way or another. Dang, when the quiet, nice one yells and stands up for herself, you had better listen.
No, Emilie, if you had kept pushing Emiko, she would have exploded on you alone and in a worse way that would have left you reeling.

Most of the Goobers are pretty good fighters, and only Huntsman is insane. Some of them are foolish, others see a lot of black and white, but they're mostly competent.
And yeah, despite their VERY different personalities, Lovie likes Emiko and is looking after her in her own way. She's going to be fun to write regularly.
Unfortunately Emiko is not a fighter, is a pretty weak mage, and is very inexperienced about romantic relationships. Alone with Emilie or with the Amazons and she might do something she will regret and while there might be explosions, they aren't the kind you're thinking of.

Helsing vs. Grande aka the hippo girl, who will win? Grande won the 2nd bout, and it seems she and Helsing are friends with how they grinned at one another.

Grande has been mentioned in the Morgana story just before Christmas where there was a school dance. But this is the first time she's shown up.
She and Helsing are good friends, and Helsing likes sparring with her because she can go all out without worrying about hurting the girl. And Grande enjoys the learning experience because she gets a good workout and usually wins.

Huntsman's blaming Fairies for everything is, of course, insane (and hilarious). His theory that fairies are responsible for all the missing socks from driers, though, strikes me as reasonable. It makes at least as much sense as any of the other theories that I have heard about where those missing socks go.

Yeah, he's a nutbar and he was planned early on as an adversary for Sprite so they would have a mix of serious fights and just the sheer hilarity of him trying to use his horribly flawed 'knowledge' of Fairies against her. Yeah, those socks, who the hell knows where they go, fairies is as good an explanation as any.
