Below is a stream of conscious commentary I type up as I read the story. There will be details from the story included in it. If you have not read the story yet and don't wish to have details of it spoiled, read no further.
Fire Over Phoenix Part 3 comments
Now she is so groggy to not remember where she is nor that her alarm clock isn't there to turn off. A call by Invidicartx from the Order, an expected call and it is already 9:15 a.m., boy, Thulia was drained by last night. A talk about how things went yesterday, I hope this isn't more lectures for Thulia.Saturday 26th November, 9.15 a.m. a room at the Marriot Hotel, Phoenix Arizona
Oh, that is why Thulia is a mess this morning, naughty girl, messing with drinks like that. If she eats even close to what Morgana does I understand the staff's reaction. Yes, as a teen you must never admit to everything first, see what the adults know already first, it is in the teen handbook. A gesture as I.D. the guy is from the Order, nice, a lot harder to have slip to enemy agents than codewords.
Ah, from the question by Invid [not spelling out that whole name every time] it seems they don't know that Thulia with help already rescued the girl in question. *facepalms* Boy, Thulia is too honest to lie like a normal teen would, spilling the whole story up until she teamed up with Fanak for the rescue.
Oh boy, turns on the news and finds out what Thulia did to the base, now she has to explain why she did it. Oh, good, I forgot that Thulia stored a lot of the files in her storage to use as evidence later. Yeah, reading those files for himself convinced him Thulia's actions were justified. Shoot, if Whateley found out about them they would have every resource hunting down all of their HQs. Further investigation, I hope they find out it is an organization and work with local heroes and authorities to take them down.
And good point about how dangerous they are, Thulia and Fanak got lucky this time. Oh crud, Thulia doesn't know El Scorpio survived that, this is bad. The dangers of Frakencorps finding Thulia or Fanak, I hope they just write off the one building as a loss and leave the girls alone. Files to show the Order, relocating Azar and her family, and Thulia getting back to school, this has been a busy few days. His boss better think it was all a good enough reason for Thulia's actions, Frakencorp sickens me to the core.
Brian Smith, such a generic cover name, but it fits him. Invid shows his card and gets let inside, Azar seems well, but they want her to see a doctor without drawing attention, going to be hard with creeps knowing about her in this city now. Nightmares all night, Frakencorps needs eradication sooner rather than later.11 a.m., Outside the Lopez house, Phoenix
Ouch, the threat of Frakencorp or any allies they might have forced the family to move. Good plan, I think the Order has had to do this a few times in the past. Ooo, them as a host family, Azar could have someone her age to chat with if it works out well. Nice way to sweeten the offer, Azar learning magic, I wish she could have used it to help herself escape. Initial safehouse on the Plane of Fire, no way Frakencorps has agents there.
Thulia packing in a hurry because she is concerned about Fanak and wants to check on her before leaving, aww. Ouch, stuck doing homework during a Thanksgiving Holiday, Fanak has it rough. Imagine that, a young teen following instructions to help them get better after injury. Aww, Fanak wants to spend more time with Thulia. Hehe, sneaky way of getting Thulia to visit before she leaves, Fanak.11 a.m., Thulia's room at the Marriot Hotel, Phoenix
Thulia, never assume just because it is a random alley that there isn't surveillance done on it, some criminals can be paranoid. Dang, Fanak can bake, anyone with a sweet tooth would love having her around. Imp, do not get Thulia into a kitchen to cook, we don't want to see what she can make if she gets inspired. Thulia, your healing skills are good with humans, you need to be more confident in yourself.
The Order of the Flame might want to get into contact with Fanak, what an honor. An email for them to talk through to pass onto the Order, smart. Contact details for Whateley, I have the feeling Fanak will end up there eventually, especially if her parents find out about her underage superheroing.
Fanak, listen to her, a costume that helps protect you and can withstand such fights is essential. The Order might give Thulia a lecture despite her having rescued Azar and another girl from a horrible fate. I hope they go easy on her.
Those guards need to stop eyeing Thulia with so much suspicion, it is rude. Even with the report from Invid they still have more questions about the incident, Thulia, this proves the old saying of no good deed goes unpunished.2p.m. (equivalent EST), The Plane of Fire, an official entrance Portal
An hour for a detailed interrogation, good grief. Asking questions to see if she slips up and reveals she is lying or making things up, I don't like them much right now. Forwarding a report to Whateley, that is both good and bad, good that Whateley will help in the investigation to take down Frakencorp, bad that Thulia will have to sit through more lectures.
Ouch, a grumpy dwarf, no Snow White happy dwarf for you today, Thulia. Her order from Altamont is ready, goodie. Boy, that is a lot of spell supplies, I wonder what the ones Ms. Grimes worried about are. Yikes, how much did she spend? Rats, the special order takes a few weeks to build, I can't wait to see what it is.Saturday 26th November, 6 p.m. (adjusted mean Fire Plane time and calendar), Muspelheim commercial district.
Old Scratch at the Lopez house and notices the ward, and there from the Warriors to ask a few questions about Azar's rescue.Monday 28th November 2p.m., The Lopez house, Phoenix
I wonder if the Order knows about these developments. Smart move, Hassan, give him Invid's Order card so he can talk to him about the matter. So OS can smell what type of supernatural being someone is by their scent. Pass a warning to the dragon responsible, OS, you may be powerful, but you come across as more than a bit arrogant."There have been several developments, some of which we think are connected with the case. Some of these may lead to activities which could endanger your family again."
Ah, she has to confirm her special order is okay with Ms. Grimes, I'm sure it will be, not like she is bringing a magical superweapon to school. A Whateley TA is there to greet Thulia, where is Grimes at this time? Some things from the need approval list, so that is what those ingredients are.8p.m. Whateley Magic Dept Summoning Room
Yeah, you can never tell who might have an ability they are keeping secret from the staff sometimes. Oh, those spells on the safe, would make it near-impossible to even find unless the individual can see through such magic. Morgana is with Laura's family for the holiday and will be back tomorrow, aww. Great, her roommate has issues with Cally, and because Thulia is a friend or acquaintance she is cold to her. While her workplace was supposed to be secure to anyone not on the staff, she wasn't really convinced.
Old Scratch, you better be on your best behavior while on the Plane of Fire and while with any members of the Order. Great, they know he is expected but still acts like this towards him, I wouldn't want to visit this plane again after a greeting like that. And he knows Tanau, hhm.Timestamp ??, Somewhere on the Plane of Fire
What, dragons being arrogant, perish the thought. *sees warehouse of own sarcasm detectors blow up* Left to wait after he explains why he is there, arrgh, at least give him something to read to pass the time.
He is told about the incident, shown one of the files from Frakencorps and now the Warriors will be on the lookout to make sure they can't set up in Phoenix again. The threat of a full strike force, better make sure Frakencorps never shows up again or Phoenix will be toast. At least now OS can get out there, nothing like having to deal with those who hate you just for what you are instead of what you did.
Dr. Mazarin, Ms. Grimes, The Imp, Robert Turner, Ms. Dennon, and Mrs. Horton were all there for a meeting. Thulia is there and acting innocent, heh.Monday 28th November, 10a.m. Meeting room at Whateley.
It is both. Another recap of what happened in Phoenix, please no more hour-long interrogations!Either some things about teenagers were common across dimensions, or she was a fast learner.
Ouch, the full story out of Thulia, no wonder it took so long, retelling some of that stuff is stomach-churning at best. Ah, so Frankencorps had been an urban legend in the Syndicate before now. Anyone in the Syndicate who would work with them needs to go down as well, I don't care if they are a criminal organization, dealing with Frakencorp and giving them protection is too far.
I bet whoever deals with them when it is leaked won't survive even an hour. Not surprisingly, given what they seemed to be up to, many of the villains in the Syndicate would have been happy to emulate Thulias' destruction of their base and justify the action afterwards. Most sane villains did have limits on their actions, after all.
Ms. Dennon and The Imp are forcefully supportive of Thulia, yay!
Shoot, if Carson was around she probably would support Thulia as well. Not just them, while some of the teachers had obviously had to be stern about such a disregard for Whateley rules, their hearts obviously weren't in it.
Doesn't excuse her from the consequences, darn it, Mazarin! I'm with Ms. Dennon, if anything Thulia didn't use enough violence on Frakencorps. Ouch, no detention in Poe or in Hawthorne for different reasons, what will they do? Thank you, Robert Turner, for realizing the dangers of a fire-breathing dragon working in the tunnels. Eep, The Imp has an idea, Thulia will have a detention she will never forget. Cleaning the gargoyles by hand with no magic for a week, ooo, you can be sadistic sometimes, Imp. But we know you just want those gargoyles clean so you can brood on them like Batman. Aww, no Morgana to help her or spend time with her, now that really is a cruel punishment.
D'oh! I knew there would be more lectures before this was over. 2 hours a day doing that, ouch. Like I said, it will be a detention she will never forget. As well as the detention, I have to attend a special session with Dennon, Grimes and The Imp about what I did, how I went about it and I suspect how I could have done it far better. Joy."
Ack! Not the coverall, that is just mean. Limited to those two spells, ouch. Yeah, pigeons just go everywhere and make a mess. Not magic, just carved stone, aww, so all those hints over the years otherwise or was it just the ones by the main gate that seemed alive? Thulia, these things are mostly just decoration to cover up a gutter. What! Not authorized to fly on campus yet, now that is too far when setting up this detention.Tuesday 29th November, 4 p.m., on the roof of The Beck Library.
All those things for a spell, that poor kitty. All this to have a chat with Tanau. They used to be together, ack, brain bleach, I need brain bleach! Information on a local dragon event figures he isn't done digging.A secluded and private room somewhere in the vicinity of Phoenix.
I didn't think that was possible, I guess they found a way to make even the demons suffer more."After all, I don't want to go back to Hell, the coffee there is even worse than in Starbucks.
Great, SO knows the alias Tanau's granddaughter is going by and that she was the one involved in the Phoenix incident. OS, you better not harm Thulia or you will have a lot of dangerous beings coming after you, including Whateley for breaking the accords.
Frankencorps, the disgust they inspire, the desire to see all who willingly work for such a vile, monstrous organization destroyed, you have made the perfect villain organization and I can't wait to see more of their HQs brought down and personnel brought to justice.
Faiza aka Fanak, is a good kid with a lot of courage and a desire to help others. I hope this doesn't lead her into more trouble than she can handle in the future, as it almost already did if Thulia hadn't teamed up with her for the rescue. Alexa and Mandy, I hope we see more of her friends in the future as well. Though Mandy needs better role models. My biggest hope is she gets help from the local heroes to deal with Forte instead of trying to take her on her own, especially after what happened to Sunhawk.
Iron Rain, I hope we get to see him taken down in the future. His willingness to work with Frakencorps, to capture innocents for them to sell to sick people, he deserves to be locked up for life if not worse.
Azar and her family, I'm so glad they called the Order for help and the Order sent in Thulia. Who knows what would have happened to Azar and Book if Thulia and Fanak hadn't acted when they did? There was a lot of question to Thulia, but the files and seeing, reading what Frankencorps does, even the most "no-killing" superhero would have torched that place. El Scorpio, I hope he doesn't remember Thulia's face clearly.
Thulia did the right thing and she got interrogated and given detention for it, but she can live with herself knowing innocents were saved and a true blight was removed from a city. I can't wait to see what her custom order is in the future.

I couldn't possibly commentso a special order needed by the solstice... I'm guessing it is a gift.
Also Imp is sneaky, using the punishment to reward Thulia with various routes to use once she's cleared to fly over Whateley...
Thulia is cleared to fly at Whateley (more on that in A Tail of Two Dragons). She doesn't yet have the certification to fly outside

that's why I said over Whateley, I presumed she was allowed to fly in the arenas used for Flight class and Flight club.
I'm guessing there's special rules when someone has a larger flight form.

Anyone who attends flight class can fly in the class area.
Passing a test in flying proficiency allows you to fly over the camous, apart from a few restricted areas.
Off campus requires passing the sort of training for a basic pilots license

She hasn't been on Earth a full two weeks yet! She's lucky to have unpacked already.

The suggestion it took her 2 weeks to unpack her snacks is a calumny

Tut... her snacks were capable of unpacking themselves.
A wizard did it

Nonsense. You just have to define "subtle" properly. Turning everything into a plain of slag IS subtle. For a dragon.

Perfectly subtle by the standards of a Workshop engineer
